Eddie Quenneville

Eddie has been growing grapes in the Santa Cruz Mountains for many years and has been making wine even longer. His grapes are in our award-winning 2005 Chardonnay and 2005 Pinot.

At his vineyard, 1800 feet above a protected valley above Loma Prieta, he grew Pinot Noir and Chardonnay - both very well suited to the region. His skills in cultivating vines are amazing. He hardly waters at all to stress the vines and drops loads of fruit to concentrate the flavors in the remaining berries.

Here is a picture of Eddie with the 2007 Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay that we bought from him. In the background you can see the vineyard dropping off down the valley toward the row of redwoods and the mountains on the other side of the valley in the distance.
