2007 Santa Cruz Mountains Merlot - Silver Medal Winner

• Now a silver medal winner at the 2009 Santa Cruz County Fair.

The grapes for this Merlot are from the Regan vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the mild heat gives extended hang time.

John Bargetto of Bargetto Winery meticulously grooms the vines at the Regan vineyard to extract as much of the Santa Cruz appellation's terroir as possible.

History

• Harvested and crushed on October 31 2007:
• Pressed on November 11, 2007 for first settling.
• Moved to barrels for aging on November 17, 2007.
• Bottled on July 25, 2009.
