Silver Medal Winner (at the 2009 Santa Cruz County Fair)The grapes for this remarkably well-balanced Merlot hail from the Moon vineyards in Carneros, where the heat is just right for this deeply structured Merlot. Grape grower Jim Moon has been growing grapes (under Helen Turley's guidance) since the 80s. History- Harvested and crushed on October 25, 2007: 25.0° brix, 3.45 pH.
- Pressed on November 3, 2006 for first settling at 7.0° brix.
- Moved to barrels for aging on November 17, 2007.
