2007 Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay

This Chardonnay is a single-vineyard wine from Eddie Quenneville's vineyard.  The protected location gives the grapes a wonderful balance of flavors that are typical of the Santa Cruz Mountains Appellation. Our Chardonnay is made the old-fashioned way, fermented in the barrel with lots of ML, giving it a buttery/oakey taste that is not at all like your typical Chardonnay.

History

• Harvested and whole-cluster pressed on September 29, 2007
• Removed from gross lees and moved into 4 barrels for fermentation on October 10, 2007 for natural yeast fermentation.
• Bottled on September 6th, 2008.
