2007 Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir - Silver Medal Winner (at the 2009 San Joaquin County Fair)

This is a classic Pinot from a classic Pinot terroir.  This is a single-vineyard wine from the Ed Quenneville vineyard at 1,800 feet of elevation above a protected valley in the mountains.

History

• Harvested and crushed on September 5, 2007. It was 26.5° brix an 3.46 pH.  Cold soaked at 45°F until September 15th, when we pitched the yeast.
• Pressed on September 29, 2007 at a brix of 5°.
• Moved to barrels for aging on October 20, 2007.
• Bottled on September 6, 2008.
