2008 Santa Cruz Mountains Merlot

The grapes for this Merlot are from the Regan vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the mild heat gives extended hang time.

John Bargetto of Bargetto Winery meticulously grooms the vines at the Regan vineyard to extract as much of the Santa Cruz appellation's terroir as possible.

History

• Harvested and crushed on October 13, 2008:
• Pressed on October 30th for first settling.
• Moved to barrels for aging.
